Mississippi has been another state hit by the weather phenomenon. Governor Tate Reeves confirmed six deaths and three disappearances in various localities of the state. In North Carolina, two underage siblings died when a tree fell on their home due to strong winds.

Authorities warned that the storms are moving slowly, increasing the risk of flooding.

Arkansas also suffered the impact of tornadoes and thunderstorms, with three deceased and 29 injured.

In Oklahoma, the weather has caused the deaths of four people and left 142 injured, in addition to damaging more than 400 homes.

The state remains on red alert due to extreme weather conditions. Meanwhile, in Kansas, a massive crash of more than 50 vehicles due to lack of visibility left eight fatalities on Friday.

In Alabama, three people lost their lives after a tornado passed through, including an 82-year-old woman whose manufactured home was destroyed, confirmed Governor Kay Ivey.
